Pitt Study Shows Green Roofs Help Delay Rainwater and Sewage Overflow

The study, with Ronald Neufeld, a Pitt environmental engineering professor, as principal investigator, revealed that green roofs not only reduce runoff but push back the peak water flow after a rainfall by hours, reducing flow to sewer pipes.
